Sponsoring Students Lao - American Graduation with BA degree of sponsored student after 5 years of studies |
Organizing Annual Career and Education Fairs |
I've been very lucky in Life!
Without a High-School Diploma (I quit school at 16) or Bachelors Degree I’ve earned a Masters degree, MBA, at Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, one of the top universities in the USA.
I've been able to work for over 50 years without a single day of unemployment, created and managed my own companies, looked after my family and got my kids through university.
Now I’m a “Happy Pappy” with four super grandchildren.
For a long time I’ve wanted to provide the same opportunities to people less fortunate than me or my children.
On visiting LAOS for the first time in 2008 I found people with both a real need and merit. They're friendly, smiling, generous and look to develop themselves through educating their children and by working in micro businesses to feed their families.
LAOS is one of the poorest countries in Asia. It is surrounded by China, Vietnam, Thailand, Burma and Cambodia. It has no outlet to the sea to facilitate the development of tourism and has no petrol to attract outside investors.
In December 2009 I created AEDECOL, a non-profit Association registered in Paris, France where I’ve lived for over 30 years.
Since January 2010 I’m living in Laos and, as an unpaid volunteer with AEDECOL, beginning to realise the following objectives:

- Sponsoring students, paying school fees, books, food, health-care and in many cases sleeping accommodation for those coming from poor rural areas.
- Encouraging Entrepreneurs , to create businesses, humanitarian and educational projects.
- Organizing Career & Education Fairs,(now in its 10th year) to open-up opportunities for jobs in business & gouvernement
- Teaching English, business, communication skills, encouraging creativity, leadership and responsibility.
You too can help in Laos, raising funds, running projects, sponsoring students, teaching ,doing something, however large or small, from where ever you are.
Keep your mind, heart and soul active with a great "retirement career" ...teach, train, build, cook,... anything you dreamed of doing when you retire.
It’s very rewarding to make a valuable contribution through your own personal involvement and managing where and how your time, energy and money are spent !
Laos has a great, relaxing life-style.....it's a great place to escape the cold European & North American Winters. Food is excellent, as an ex-French colony there are good traces of french cuisine. The people are friendly, smiling, helpful and easy to get along with. Young and old mix easily together, there's no "age barrier".
Come visit to find out for yourself, we can help with logistics and show you around. Look at the following pages "Projects" and a " Life in Laos" for more info on life here.
Best wishes to you all, looking forward to hearing from you.
